Winter has arrived—the moment when Hades has abducted Persephone, and Demeter is drowning in tears, neglecting her duties. In every individual’s psyche, the experiences of great trauma, loss, and encounters with death leave an everlasting imprint. These traumatic experiences can keep a person’s Ego trapped in an eternal Hades—the negative pole of the Self. However, they can also bring about profound transformation.
Like the Phoenix rising from the ashes, the old Ego must dissolve for a new personality to emerge, realigned with the Self-Ego axis. This transformation does not happen instantly but unfolds gradually, step by step. By surrendering to the guiding force of the Self and making decisions based on the inner wisdom of the internal Mother or Father, a person can embrace new attitudes toward life and themselves. In doing so, they undergo a butterfly-like metamorphosis on their path of individuation.
Then, spring arrives—Persephone reunites with Demeter, and the joy of life and positive energy once again flow within.
Wishing you an Advent season filled with insight and renewal! ❄️✨
